Extended Day

We know that choosing to educate your child at a school that offers as many opportunities as Wellington Prep School can have a significant impact on family life.

While the formal school day begins at 8.35am for all years, the school is open from 8.00am each morning.  Children in the Early Years are supervised in their classes and children in Years 1 and above are supervised on the playground by the Headmaster and the Deputy Head.

The formal school day for children in the Early Years and the Infants finishes at 3.30pm and 3.45pm for children in Years 3-6,  at which point children are either collected or taken to their after school clubs.  As well as the wide range of after school clubs, a supervised homework session takes place every afternoon for children in the Middle and Prep Years, providing a great opportunity to get homework done at school with some support, if needed.  Clubs usually run for an hour and at the end of the club children are either collected and signed out by parents. There is also STAR club for children, available  between 5-6pm for those familes who need it.

The extended school day for children in the Early Years Setting can continue until 6.00pm to allow parents additional flexibility.  All children are signed out by parents or guardians at the end of their school day.
In the school holidays we also run a Holiday Club.
