Chaplaincy

The Christian values of love, service and care are paramount.  We want each child to understand his or her ability to make a difference.

Each week starts with an assembly led by our School Chaplain and we have regular services in the School Chapel. The Chapel of St Michael and St George is the focal point for our Harvest, Christmas, Easter and Commemoration services, which are fundamentally important aspects of Prep School life.

Our assemblies focus on strong moral themes each week, which are developed across our School.  Common themes are revisited, such as dealing with changes, anti-bullying and our wider responsibilities as individuals.

The Chaplaincy exists to assist all members of school in their search for meaning and purpose in life. Whilst the Chaplaincy is Christian and based on the practice of the Church of England, the Chaplain aims to put all students in touch with their spirituality, however expressed.

"Pupils’ excellent spiritual development is successfully supported byt the school’s Christian values and practices”. (ISI Report 2014)
