Wellington School pupil, Emily Chapman, saxophonist, aged 11, was runner up in the Young Musician of the Year Competition at the Hinton St George Festival last week. Following heats with a record number of applicants 3 finalists were chosen in the under 14 age group. The judges were amazed by the very high standard of musicianship achieved. Congratulations to Emily who thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience, especially playing in front of an audience.
