Nursery Meet the Deer at Wallace’s Farm!

Nursery children and staff enjoyed a magical morning at Wallace’s of Hemyock this week. Warmly wrapped against the cold, we travelled in the Big Bus for the first time with Andy our driver.

Mrs Wallace gave us a bag of apples and told us that the deer may come to be fed – and they did, as our photos show. All the children watched quietly as the deer came closer and closer, stopping occasionally to look at us all!

Later in the morning, we also saw, goats, pigs, sheep and chickens. This helped to bring our Literacy focus on Traditional Tales to life as we watched the Three Little Pigs enjoying their lunch and the Billy Goats Gruff climbing on the fence in their pen! We had a lovely morning and many thanks to Wallace’s for having us.
