WJS celebrate St David's Day

Year 2 children enjoyed a taste of Wales this week, celebrating Saint David’s Day with Mrs Farrow (Mrs Lawrenson’s Mum). As well as learning about St. David, the children found out about the Welsh emblems and had the opportunity to speak a little Welsh. The highlights of the day included tasting the delicious Welsh cakes and dressing up in Welsh costumes. A huge thank you to Mrs Farrow for sharing her knowledge with the children and for baking so many cakes for the children (and staff!) to share.
