Nursery Return to Sheppy’s Farm!

Nursery paid a return visit to Sheppy’s Farm this week to see how the apple orchards had changed since we visited in October! All the apples we saw on the trees and on the ground in the orchard, ready to be made into cider and apple juice, had gone! But when we looked very, very carefully on the trees, we could see what looked like tiny apples, growing from the apple blossom flower. (see picture)
Some of the younger Nursery children will be visiting Sheppy’s again in October to see how these baby apples are growing!
We also had a lovely walk around the pond, meeting ducks, geese and even a black swan, who were sheltering from the rain like us. Later, the sun shone for our picnic. Many thanks to Mrs Sheppy for making us welcome once again.
