Taunton and Somerset Music and Drama Festival Success

We had a very successful week at the Taunton and Somerset Music and Drama Festival, coming away with 10 ‘merits’, 14 ‘commendations’, 8 ‘distinctions’ and 1 ‘outstanding’. Not only did our orchestra make their debut at the festival but it was the first time they had ever performed outside the school!  They did so well that they were asked to play in the Showcase concert on Sunday (unfortunately many children couldn’t make it, but it was a huge honour to be asked).  In addition to these successes,  Alice Badham and Amelia Bartlett ‘Margaret Way Cup’ for the most entertaining performance of the week, as well as winning their class. They performed at the Showcase concert where they were awarded with the biggest cup in the Junior School trophy cabinet!  Thank you to everyone involved – children, parents and Mrs Edwards and Mrs Fidell.
