England Saxons rugby player visits Junior School
Jonny May, the Gloucester Rugby and England Saxons centre, joined Wellington Junior School last Friday for their celebration assembly, hosting a ‘question and answer’ session with the children, on life as a professional sportsman. He then had lunch with the members of the senior school 1st XV before leading two coaching sessions with Wellington School’s next seasons’ U11 and U13 teams. A superb and inspirational opportunity for all the children involved.
Jonny won the LV= Breakthrough Player, Aviva Premiership Player of the month for January and scorer of the Aviva Premiership Try of the season. At 22, Jonny is already one of the premiership’s most talented and highly regarded players.
