Head's Welcome

The pursuit of excellence is a bold mission but at Wellington School we aim to bring the very best out of every child in all areas of our vibrant, energetic and happy school life.

As part of Wellington School, the Junior School is a relatively young school with a long heritage.  We offer the first stage of a full, dynamic and exciting education from the age of 3 years old up to 11 years old when we expect children to move seamlessly into the Senior School.   The advantages of an education from 3 to 18 are vast, and as the Junior School, we benefit greatly from the specialist teaching and superb facilities that are available.

We believe that each child should be fulfilled and successful, as well as being able to develop the confidence and resilience that will prepare them for future challenges, both in the classroom and beyond.

We strive to offer every child the very best and the opportunities that we provide are fantastic.  In the classroom, on the stage, on the sports field or beyond, each child has the chance to perform to their very best.  However, the key to our school’s success lies beyond the range of opportunities that a Wellington School education offers.  The critical element to the success of each child and to our school as a whole is the support, self-belief and sense of purpose that every child receives from our superb staff team. 

We have high expectations but we understand the importance of making mistakes.

We nurture our children but also encourage them to take risks.

We develop children’s leadership skills but we value service to others just as highly.
