Year 6 from Wellington School enjoyed an action packed Viking Experience Day last week.

A Viking warrior from the Rattlebox Theatre Company carried out a Viking saga assembly followed by workshops.

In the afternoon, Viking long ships were created in the Senior School D.T dept., followed by a North Sea Long ship challenge! Which design of ship can go across the water (paddling pool) the quickest, with the aid of a fan?

Year 6 were also treated to 2 Skype video conferencing sessions booked with Jorvik Viking Centre, where the children listened to a Viking's daily life and then asked him questions.
