Ciaran Williams, Captain of the Olympic GB Handball Team, visited Wellington School this week. The children were very impressed to meet an Olympian who has just competed in the London 2012 Olympics, as many of them had visited the Olympics and Paralympics during the holidays. Ciaran spent time in both the Senior and Junior Schools, and attended a special Junior School Assembly, during which he spoke to the children about his Olympic experience and his sport of handball He answered the children’s questions about life as an Olympian, offering the advice “Never give up” to those children who hope to pursue their own Olympic dreams.
