The variety of clubs for both older and younger children is impressive. Some clubs are focused around the wide range of sporting opportunities available in the school and surrounding area. We have access to astro-tuft hockey pitches, rugby fields and tennis courts as well as the Princess Royal Sports Complex with its fantastic facilities.

Sports include Karate, netball, football, handball, dance & trampolining.

You might prefer the quieter pursuits of computer or board games, sewing or touch-typing to improve your skills. Book Club, Forest School, art and French are also popular options.

At the other end of the scale there is junk-modelling, cooking, and Chill-out Club.

Whatever your need, whatever your mood, Wellington Junior School provides a solution

The school day at WJS is truly diverse. Children will tackle the usual rigours of maths, English and history but will also get to grips with art, music and acquire a range of skills to help them with the challenges of our modern world. A balanced curriculum places value on reflection and organisation as much as on knowledge. That’s why library skills, music, drama & sport are taught alongside traditional subjects – and even they are given a special twist. Children learn how to learn – that way the skills last longer!
