Holiday Club

Wellington Junior School Holiday Club is an out of school provision run by the governors of Wellington School. It opened in 2005 and operates in the main hall, 2 classrooms and the school playgrounds of Wellington Junior school. A maximum of 30 children attends the group at any one time. The group opens from the end of the school’s summer term to the end of July, and for one week at Easter and Christmas. Sessions are from 09.00 until 16.30, with extended provision from 08.15 to 17.30.

Children have access to secure enclosed outdoor play areas. The group employs 8 staff. The manager and 5 of the staff hold appropriate Early Years qualifications.

The children enjoy a variety of supervised activities including creative crafts; dance and drama; playing on large and small apparatus; cooking and baking; role play and in the summer, weekly visits to places such as Tropiquaria and Crealy Park.
