Much of the historical character of Wellington School has been founded upon a community of diverse backgrounds. However the School does not benefit from any major endowment funds to assist with the continuing provision of scholarships or the funding of major projects. The generosity of donors is needed more than ever to allow is to fund our scholarships and bursaries and to keep our facilities up to date

The Foundation is an independent and separately registered charity from the School which exits to receive and allocate funds donated to the School. Its aim is to promote the charitable work of Wellington School, to further the education and the advancement in life of present and past pupils of the School through the provision of scholarships, bursaries and grants and to support the School’s capital development.

Scholarships and Bursaries Fund

We are committed to making sure that gifted children, irrespective of social or financial background, can benefit from the high quality education offered by Wellington School. Many of our pupils would not be able to attend the School without financial help. Your generosity now will help these children fulfil their potential.

Development Fund

This fund helps maintain and develop the existing School buildings, keeping them safe and comfortable for pupils’ use whilst retaining the historical and architectural value for the nation. As education develops new up to date facilities are needed to allow our pupils to compete when they leave the School.

Annual Fund

The Friends of Wellington School administer this fund which supports projects that have an immediate impact and benefit for the whole school community.

Please take time to consider supporting the School by making a gift to the Wellington School Foundation. All gifts regardless of size will make a valuable contribution to the development of the School. In our Ways of Helping section there are details of the various methods in which you can make gifts and pledges. If you are a UK taxpayer the Foundation can claim Gift Aid making your donations worth even more.
