For Credit/Debit Card donations

Cash/Cheque Donations or Pledges

You can donate to any of our funds with either a one-off donation or a regular gift using a standing order. Just a small amount given each month can make a tremendous difference to the School. As the example below shows if 20 people pledge to give on a regular basis the donations will add up to a significant amount for the School.

20 People Donating Monthly £10 £10 £20 £20 £50 £50
No of Years 10 20 10 20 10 20
Amount to School with Gift Aid £30,769 £61,538 £61,538 £123,076 £153,846 £307,692

Please use the donation form below

Gift Aid - Make the most of your gift.

If you are a UK taxpayer you can make your gift, whatever the size, go further by ticking the Gift Aid box on the form. This allows us to claim a further 28p for every £1 you donate and it costs you nothing. If you are a higher rate taxpayer you can claim further tax relief on your donation to the Appeal.

For Example:

You Give We Recieve Cost to Higher Rate Taxpayer
£50 £64.10 £38.46
£100 £128.20 £76.92
£500 £641.00 £384.62
£1000 £1282.00 £769.23
£5000 £6410.26 £3846.15

Legacy Giving

All Legacies in the UK are exempt from Inheritance Tax (which is currently at 40%) and therefore could significantly reduce the tax burden on your estate. For more details please use this link  .

Stocks and Shares, Gift of Land or Property

Gifts of most stocks and shares, as well as leasehold or freehold properties are tax deductible.

Company Gifts

When a company gives to a charity, the value of the gift can be offset against the company’s highest rate of Corporation Tax.

Non Monetary Gifts

You may have a possession that you are considering giving which would be a welcome addition to the School resources. Gifts like this can be made directly to Wellington School without incurring any liability to Capital Gains Tax or Inheritance Tax.

USA Giving

If you are part of our growing USA community and would like details of how to give tax efficiently please contact the Development Office.

OUR THANKS TO YOU

We are grateful for each of the gifts we receive and as such offer a number of ways in which your donation can be recognised if you wish. All donations over £100 are eligible for a “named brick” to be placed in a wall being constructed around the Sunken Garden. We already have nearly 200 bricks placed in our wall, commemorating a huge range of associations with the School, including pupils and staff both past and present, as well as friends. We also have a number of naming opportunities for larger donations.

For more information on any of the above please contact the Development Office on 01823 668858 or by email at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it
