Lee Mead is gunning for Wellington’s GCSE students

Lee-Mead-with-Year-10-girlsYear ten GCSE Drama students travelled up to the Theatre Royal in Bath recently to see two shows in preparation for their GCSE written exam in June.  Lee Mead, who was starring in Oscar Wilde’s comic melodrama Lord Arthur Savile’s Crime, was on hand to offer advice and inspiration.   In the production he played an insipid society gent corrupted by Gary Wilmot’s dubious clairvoyant to commit murder but in the company of Wellington School students he was altogether more considerate and trustworthy.  “Good luck”, said Lee, “I did drama GCSE at school and was one of only two boys in the group."  He played a sailor in his GSCE drama exam and encouraged the girls to "carry on with what you are doing and never give up."
