1st XI retain Mike Stringer trophy

The 'Stringer Trophy', is an annual cricketing challenge between Wellington and Wells Cathedral School, which has now been running for 3 years. All 6 fixtures (U12, U13, U14, U15, 2nd & 1st X1s) contribute to the overall outcome and where there is a tie, the result goes with the outcome of the 1st X1 game.

2008 winners Wellington 4-2

2009 winners Wellington 4-2

2010 winners Wellington 3-3, but retained by Wellington because of the 1st XI win.

Wellington won at - U13, U14 & 1st XI level but lost at U12, U15 (cancelled by Wellington) & 2nd XI level.

Mike Stringer, after whom the trophy is named, was a long-time colleague in charge of cricket and sport at Wells Cathedral School.
