Scholarships

We offer a number of academic scholarships each year for those entering Years 7and 9. These consist of fee remissions of between 10% and 50%.

All those awarded an academic scholarship for Year 7 have the opportunity to apply for a means-tested bursary to supplement the scholarship up to a maximum of 100% depending on the level of need. All day and boarding candidates who take the entrance exam in the January are automatically considered for scholarship. The entrance exam for Year 7 entry in the following September is usually held in early January.

There are also a number of all-rounder scholarships for entry into Years 7 and 9 based on academic performance and talent and potential in two of the following areas – academic, drama, music, sport, art and design.  Year 7 all-rounder awards may be supplemented by means-tested bursaries.

The Year 9 academic and all-rounder scholarship days are usually held in late February.

Music Exhibitions

Music scholarships are awarded for entry into both Year 7 and Year 9 and above.

In addition, a number of music exhibitions, which are open to all ages, are awarded each year and these consist of free tuition on one or more instruments while the pupil remains at the school.
