The Archway Gallery at Wellington School has an exhibition of Fractal Art this week, by Chris Tamblin, Sixth former at Wellington School. Chris uses fractal art to express his emotions and ideas by using mathematical formulae! The iterative nature of fractal art is ideally suited to exploring themes such as obsession and introspection, also inspired by fractal forms that occur in the natural world, such as the shapes of trees and snowflakes as well as microorganisms such as bacteria and plankton.
Chris uses Apophysis to create images based on a variety of different formulae, each piece taking days to perfect.
Come and view this amazing exhibition
The Archway gallery is open to the public from 9.30a.m. – 4.30pm, June 11th-20th.
