All students live in our comfortable, modern boarding houses and are cared for by dedicated house staff. Each boarding house has a Housemaster or Housemistress, Matron and boarding staff who will keep in regular contact with pupils and their parents. Pupils are also part of a day House with day students and a tutor, who they see three times a week.  In such a caring, communal setting, every pupil truly matters and we strive to ensure the happiness of all the pupils in our care. For added reassurance, the School has a Health Centre with 24 hour cover and regular visits from the school doctor.

The Boarding staff arrange for students to attend local activities and to experience cultural events.

• Good telephone and wireless internet access throughout the campus make it easy for students to keep in touch with home although wireless is turned off at night to enable sleep.
• Bedrooms are single or shared study bedrooms and are comfortable and well equipped.
• The food is superb, with all pupils having three hot meals a day. There is a choice of many main dishes with an additional salad bar, as well as fresh vegetables, fruit and desserts. There is plenty of choice so all diets and cultures are catered for and all pupils at Wellington School eat together in the dining hall.
• All laundry, meals and accommodation are included in the termly fee.
• Lessons follow the normal school day.

We are a day and boarding school, with international families relocating to the UK and seeking day spaces for children of all ages from 11 to 18, as well as those who are sending their child to board with us from the age of 11. We are academically selective, but not elitist. We assess children to ensure that they can cope with the academic rigour of GCSE and A Level courses, and that their language skills and attitude will enable them to take full advantage of being in a British school alongside British students.

We are always happy to welcome agents to Wellington School at an agreed appointment time. All boarders, including students of 18 and over, whose parents are either permanently or temporarily overseas, must have a guardian in this country with whom we can make contact should an emergency arise.

This guardian should be a member of the family (but not a student) or a member of a guardianship agency belonging to AEGIS. In routine matters and decisions about hospital treatment, the Housemaster/mistress and then the Headmaster will normally stand in loco parentis.
