Hannah Meets Her Hero at Blue Youth Summit

Thalassophile Hannah was delighted to be invited to join other young ocean and conservation enthusiasts at the inaugural Blue Youth Summit which was held recently at the National Marine Aquarium in Plymouth.

The participants were promised a very special keynote speaker, whose identity was kept secret until the day. Hannah was delighted to discover it was one of her heroes - Steve Backshall - and she was even more delighted to receive a signed copy of Steve's book "Deep Blue: My Ocean Journeys" and to have her photo taken with him.

At the end of the day everyone was challenged to consider this question "How can you continue using your voice to protect the Ocean?" One of the things Hannah has done to take up the challenge is writing an article for the school newspaper, The Welly Whisperer.
