Harvest Fun At Forest School

Reception class had a wonderful morning celebrating Harvest in true outdoor style. Each child brought along a vegetable from home, from homegrown sweetcorn and sweet potatoes to carrots, tomatoes, potatoes and broccoli, ready to create a delicious Harvest soup together. 

The children loved getting hands-on as they peeled, chopped and blended the veggies before cooking their soup over the fire pit. Best of all, it was so tasty they even went back for seconds. 

What a fantastic way to learn about food, teamwork and the joy of seasonal celebrations.
