Wellington Riders Take On NSEA Eventers Challenge at Hickstead

Freya riding Tommy, Rebecca riding Albie, Anouk riding Paddy Patches, Jessie riding Nemo and Isla riding Polsue Tobermory had a fantastic time at NSEA Eventers Challenge at Hickstead on Saturday.

The team travelled up to Hickstead on Friday to stable their horses over night before the competition. It was a 4-5 hour in really hot conditions but the stabling at Hickstead was beautiful and the ponies quickly settled well into their new overnight home. There was time on arrival to exercise the horses and all have a BBQ together in the evening.

The Wellington team jumped at 1:30 on Saturday, possibly the hottest part of the day! All members of the team worked really hard to get ready helping each other with lots of laughter. There were 17 fences to jump in the 70-75cm Arena Eventing Championships and the whole team jumped brilliantly.

A special thanks to all those to came and supported, Annabelle, Hattie and Sophie who all helped walk the course clean horses, tack up and plait for the competition.
