Year 5 Excel in Rotary £5 Challenge, Raising Over £2,000 for Charity

What an achievement from Year 5 today. Our Year 5 pupils presented the results of their Rotary £5 Challenge to Old Wellingtonian Adrian Prior-Sankey, President of the Rotary Club of Taunton, and Tracey Khodabanheloo from Taunton Rotary Club.

Starting with just £5, Wellington pupils created and ran their own businesses, developing valuable entrepreneurial skills while raising money for charity. From cake sales and crafts to penalty shoot-outs and dog walking, the creativity and enthusiasm on display were outstanding.

We are delighted to announce that Year 5 raised an amazing £2,159.35 for the Stroke Association.

Throughout the challenge, pupils demonstrated teamwork, resilience, innovation and confidence as they developed, marketed and managed their businesses before presenting their results today.

A huge well done to all of Year 5, thank you to the Rotary Club of Taunton for their continued support, and special thanks to Mrs Wade for organising such a successful project. For a school with pioneering spirit and a huge community heart, Wellington is leading the way.
