Remote Learning

Remote Learning

Wellington Prep School has moved to remote learning for the start of the Spring Term 2021.

Prep School Teachers prepared packs for the children to remote learn.  Parents collected these from School prior to the start of term on Wednesday 6th January. A Prep School Parents' Forum took place on Tuesday 5th January on Microsoft Teams to provide parents with information on remote learning and for staff to guide parents of the different year groups through the remote learning provision for this half term. A full remote learning document was sent to all families prior to the start of term and you can view a copy in the links on the right of this page.

Our remote learning programme in 2020 proved hugely successful in keeping our pupils on track with their academic work and the Prep School is extremely grateful to our families who supported their children at home.

During the last period of remote learning the School launched the Great Welly Project, which provided our pupils with an opportunity to develop their independent learning and to emerge with an assessed outcome. Further information on the Great Welly Project is available via the link on this page.

We have received some outstanding feedback on our remote learning and our communication with families during this difficult period and we are proud of the outstanding relationships we have with our families and the support they have shown us.

I just wanted to say what a fab job you have done today. Our daughter has been happy and engaged all day. Please pass on my thanks to all other staff as I know how much of a team effort is has been to make something challenging look so slick!

The admissions procedure was incredibly smooth.

I wouldn’t change anything.

It all feels very reassuring, things feel well organised and we are very grateful for the work you and the team are putting in to make this work as best as it can for all the children.

We were made to feel as though we were being welcomed into a family.

Happy, confident children in the corridors.

Thank you again for all the work to set up both remote and face-to-face learning in such a short space of time.

We knew we had found the right place within minutes of walking through the door.

Thank you for all your hard work and support, my daughter is like a different child since joining the Prep School.
