Aims

Aims

We are committed to supporting our students in becoming confident and well-adjusted young adults who are equipped with the skills and qualifications they need to thrive in the twenty-first century.

We aim to do this by:

  1. Caring – our pastoral culture is compassionate, kind, tolerant, inclusive, caring and supportive of all members of our community

  2. Challenging and supporting – our broad curriculum stretches and stimulates our students, and teachers support and guide them as individuals

  3. Offering choice – our co-curricular programme provides a breadth and depth of experience that will challenge, inspire and build confidence in students, and provide precious memories of a fulfilling school career

  4. Developing the whole person – we seek to develop in children of all ages skills and character traits that will see them able to thrive personally and professionally, both at school and beyond

  5. Being inclusive – we welcome day pupils and boarders from near and far, and local and international students support one another as they learn and grow together

  6. Valuing community – whether in school or in the wider community, we respect our differences but we build on all that brings us together

  7. Creating a strong sense of place – we invest in our campus in order to maximise the effective utilisation of building space for teaching, living and supporting the co-curricular programme

  8. Thinking of future generations – we maintain prudent stewardship of the School through strong leadership and governance to provide the best possible educational environment for current and future students

  9. Being united – our 3-18 ethos provides clear continuity, smooth progression and a strong sense of community across the Prep and Senior School
