Wellington School sits at the heart of a thriving community. There is close interaction with the town, many of our facilities are used by local clubs and societies and there is a true spirit of identity.
Our CCF Corps of Drums parade through the town on Remembrance Day, our musicians play in local care homes, local residents come along to concerts, plays and events and we host many events, such as the Wellington Flower Show and Wellington Fox's Hockey Club. We are also a significant employer in the town and host apprentices from local colleges. There are charities committees in both schools who fund raise and donate to local and international causes.
Our Old Wellingtonians' Association is a thriving and social group who frequently meet and we have an extremely supportive "Friends" group, both in the Senior and the Prep School, who run events, raise money and provide a valuable social outlet.
Our state of the art Princess Royal Sports Centre is open to the community and hosts many external events and we have a dedicated Private Hire facility for external books, such as weddings, parties and concerts.
