Wellington is a unique experience; a world of wonder and possibility built on an appreciation for, and understanding of, each individual.  A lack of entitlement, a deep-seated self-belief and the courage to be different are all things that excite us here.  We also pride ourselves on a distinctively different mindset…

Our expansive thinking – nestled under these Somerset skies - questions the long-served promise of education that schools ‘prepare young people for their futures’.  This suggests a child’s future is known, their paths are pre-determined, and their lives are predictable.  In a complex world where the opposite is true, we are writing a new story where our vision will enable students to create the future, not just be prepared for it.  We believe young people can act to tackle the worlds’ problems now, and co-create new societal, planetary and technological futures whilst they are here, not just when they leave the Sixth form.  We believe that each and every child can act with purpose, inspire others and lead change and that this mindset can revolutionise what a school experience can be.  In essence, our students are pathfinders for new worlds; innovators, entrepreneurs, community builders, makers and pioneers.
