Dance

We offer dance classes through our own Wellington Dance School.  Students are able to take RAD Ballet, ISTD Modern & Jazz classes throughout the week and on Saturdays.  

The Dance School is led by Principal, Miss Emma, who started dancing at the age of 4. When She joined Secondary School, She had access to the lunchtime dance and drama clubs and later took GCSE Dance and BTEC Performing Arts. She studied at the SPACE and has the Royal Academy of Dance Certificate in Ballet Teaching Studies course. She is currently training for the ISTD for my Diploma in Dance Education.

Our students also benefit from the assistance of a Dean Brammell, a professional choreographer on all productions.  After graduating from Italia Conti ’s prestigious BA Musical Theatre course,  Dean worked for several years as a professional performer in plays, musicals, television and film. Following this success he became Movement Co-ordinator on hit TV show Peaky Blinders. Dean is Head of Dance at ‘Somerstage Musical Theatre School’ in Bridgwater and also ‘Youth Theatre Leader’ at The Brewhouse in Taunton. He continues to work in entertainment managing singer Nadine Coyle. Dean is also a full time Lamda teacher and choreographer at the School.
