The Sixth Form Enrichment Programme at Wellington School offers a broad range of activities, all aimed at preparing our students for the important transition between school and the world of higher education and employment.
At its centre is a timetable of Academic Enrichment lessons with specialist staff, who focus on the development of critical thinking and academic research skills. The Academic Enrichment Programme enables motivated and equipped students to attain the highly prestigious Pre-U Global Perspectives (Short) Qualification, or an Extended Project Qualification. Both qualifications facilitate students’ ability to engage with academic ideas and issues in greater depth and alongside their A Levels, provide a comprehensive preparation for university study.
In support of academic excellence, students receive ongoing advice on universities and careers from a dedicated team of staff and are encouraged to participate in academic clubs and societies. In addition, there are regular events for students to listen and learn from outside speakers through our Academic Lecture Programme and Careers Spotlight talks.
