School Council

The School Council meets once a month to discuss matters raised by the pupils and by the Headmaster. Two representatives, one male and one female from each year, are elected by their year group at the beginning of the autumn term.

The meeting is chaired by the Head Girl and Head Boy, who decide upon agenda, circulate minutes and ensure actions are carried out. The Headmaster, Governors’ Representative, and Staff Representative are also in attendance.

Matters discussed recently included: rewards and sanctions, school uniform and kit, catering, water fountains, house rooms, furniture, stationery as well as the school café.

The School Council have also visited the Town Council Offices to meet with the Mayor and other members of the Town Council to discuss what they thought the town could offer the young people of Wellington.
