Opportunities for Leadership

Wellington Sixth Form Student Leadership Team leads, inspire and mentor the student body.  

Student Leaders undertake a selection process which sees them apply in writing and by interview for the roles.

The team undergo training for their roles, and have regular meetings with the Headmaster, Head of Sixth Form and Deputy Head Pastoral to support them and develop their leadership skills.

Roles include House Captains organising weekly House Meetings and events, instilling House spirit and a ‘can do’ attitude in their houses, and Prefects having a wide spread presence throughout the School at breaktimes and lunchtimes, to support and role model Wellington’s core values to younger students.

Leaders of Sports and Societies are also selected and these roles form opportunities to lead for students with specific areas of interest.
