Governors
The School’s Governing Board currently consists of 11 governors in total. This includes one governor who is nominated by the School Common Room and another who is nominated by Wellington Town Council. All other governors are coopted onto the Board.
The Governing Board provides strategic leadership, ensuring the School’s aims, mission and ethos are fulfilled while acting as a non-executive, collective body. Key duties of the Board include financial oversight, regulatory compliance, appointing the Head and supporting/challenging senior leadership.
Governors are recruited in line with safer recruitment and safeguarding protocols and is focused on ensuring a balanced board with the diverse skills and experience necessary for effective school oversight. To inform this process the Boad conduct an annual skills audit.
